I-Ching 101

Tried the I-ching 3 coins method from my fortune telling bible too LOL

Basically you take 3 coins and throw it 6 times while thinking of your question. After each throw you add up the value of the coins (heads=2, tails=3) and draw a line, either solid "_____" if the total is an even number or broken "___ ___" if the total is an odd number. In this way you build up a hexagram and then refer to a table of trigrams and look up the interpretation(you can find this online lol). The first throw of the coins give you the bottom or 6th line of the hexagram, the second throw gives you the 5th line... etc.

So, my question was if i should end my online "relationship." Actually i've already decided before doing this la, just you know, asking for fun hahahah Maybe i should have asked about my results instead. But hor, Confucius say that you shouldn't use I-Ching until you're over the age of 40 oO lol Ahwell, i did it before i read that part somewhere on wikipedia LOL So here goes. I got this diagramm

__ __
__ __
__ __
__ __
__ __
_____

lol the last line a bit long but anyway, it's number 24 on the table of Tigrams and here is its interpretation

The turning point
This is the turning point after a period of decay, similar to the time of the winter solstice when the days gradually begin to lengthen. Things begin to move again and they do so without the need to force them. They happen at their own accord at their own pace. You now start to feel that situations are working in your favour and that you will be successful again.

Well i guess it is kinda true. There was a long period of stagnancy, and now that things have ended i guess it is a turning point. And you know, if i reversed my diagram i would have gotten this, no.23

Splitting apart
Something, such as a relationship or circumstance, is in the process of falling apart and disintegrating. This has happened as a result of a long period in which the relationship or situation has been undermined by forces that it can't withstand. There is nothing that you can do to change this because it's part of the natural cycle of life. However, you can accept the situation with grace and composure.

And what if i change all the broken lines into solid lines and the solid lines into broken lines. No.44

Encounters
This isn't a good time to embark on any form of committed relationship with someone you have only recently met because you don't know this person as well as you think. You should certainly avoid making a hasty marriage because it won't last long. Watch out for someone who seems insignificant but whose presence starts to cause problems and could eventually lead to disaster.

LOL Actually i didn't have to reverse my diagram or the lines i just did it to explore all areas, but they all seem connected don't they? But other than sold and broken lines there's something else called moving lines(when the dice throw sums up to a 6 or 9). Basically, you draw the hexagram and interpret it the usual way, but then you redraw the moving lines so that broken lines become solid and vice versa (my second change lol) You then read this new hexagram to expand on the meaning of the first.

YUP this is kinda fun eh. Try it out on your own LOL

Im thinking of getting rune stones so i can do readings with them. Actually i can do that(and I-ching) with my tarot cards la, but hmmmm and perhaps a clear bowl so i can do "scrying with a bowl of water" which is like looking into a crystal ball, except your looking into a bowl of water LOL

This is just a hobby hahaha Even though i said before if i can't find a job in the future i'll set up a road side stall giving people fortune readings. How bout an online fortune reading stall? LOL
