I finally finished reading "Banana Pankcakes" by Solangel today at 4+a.m haha Awsome fanfiction. The starting was rather boring, but AMAZING ending. Usually, i don't read fanfictions with weird names, i did contemplate on Banana Pankcakes, but how can i not read it after such a prologue?
To You:
If you cannot piece together broken glass, why did you try to when he left? If you cannot continue to draw with a broken crayon, why did you try to when she left? If you had sworn your loyalty to me, why did you go and hold hands with the Devil? If you had sworn your heart to me, why did you eat from that box of chocolate? If you had sworn yourself to me, then why did you kiss that soul?
Now, I am picking up the shattered glass that had ravaged the floor. Now, I am trying to murder a blank piece of paper with the broken crayon. Now, I am reaching out for Devil to end my misery. Now, I am purging up all that chocolate I had eaten after you left.
But, I have no soul to kiss.
Because you took mine.
It is neither a fond or hated memory. Yet, on the good days, I don’t remember. And on bad days, I do. I remember all of it in its entirety tightly pinned behind a picture frame permanently nailed to the walls of my mind. I should erase the pieces, but I choose to let it live inside because I will be able to play, replay, and pause those moments at my will.
Come back and save me before it’s too late.
Before all the colors in my world blend together and fade . . .
SUPER NICE RIGHT? But the ending was sadddddddd. But then again, all of Solangel's fanfictions have sad endings. This time, 1died, the main-guy lost his sight, and the female will loose her sight soon because of her progressive night blindness. But the ironic thing is, the guy promised to be her eyes at night, but he turned blind before she did. Hense the phrase "come back and save me before it's too late, before all the colours in my world blend together and fade..." Anyway, read it! AWSOME AWSOME AWSOME. Definitely one of my favourites.
And my favourite couple scene from this fanfiction is this.
“Let’s go eat. You hungry?” DongMin asked me when we turned down the
walkway toward where he parked his motorcycle.
“I guess – I’ve been eating so much though,” I complained.
“I know. You looked like you gained weight,” DongMin said.
“Yah!” I smacked his arm.
“It’s what a best friend would say!” he defended himself.
“What would a boyfriend say then?” I challenged.
“No honey, you don’t look fat,” DongMin retorted with a straight face.
Oh did i mention? This fanfiction is one of those best-friends-turned-lovers kinda thing. Typical, i know, but again, AWSOME ENDING lol She throws you a bomb when you least expect it. I thought it was gonna be a happy ending, but noooo, she just can't allow it. But it just made it better so.. hahahha
So as of now, my top3 favourite fanfictions of all time are.. (in aplabatical order)
1) Banana Pancakes
2) CINDERELLA - But the glass slippers never belonged to me…
3) Minwoo and Mina (couldn't remember the name, only the main character's name LOL But it was the first fanfiction i ever read. Nick introduced it)
Anyway lol Here's the similarities. They are all best-friends-turned-lovers fanfiction, and they all have sad endings.
Ah, I'm such a sucker for this lol
